Weekends

When I was single, my weekends were spent on the bed watching the telly with food by my side. Pretty sloppy, I'd say. But it was so laid back that I miss it.

Weekends, now as I now it, are rarely spent in bed. It still meant sleeping later than weekdays, unless we have an engagement with either side of the family. But for most part, we don't spend the weekend in the comfort of our 37 square meters condo unit.

The general pattern is somewhat like this:

Friday nights - we are either with office folks/friends or we are working late.
Saturdays - spent with wifey's family
Sundays - spent with hubby's family.

There are weekends when we pull the stop and say, "No." That's cause we have to clean house or go to a wedding or something else.

When we do get the chance to stay home, that means telly for me and computer for him. Well, today is an exception... It's computer for me and PSP for him.

I am not sure what kind of weekend I look forward to. Spending it in the confines of our small home is not so bad, but sometimes I want to see things in between my home and my work place. Like go out to a park or a mall, watch a movie or something. Maybe go shopping.

The things that I miss when I was single. I can actually do today. I just feel guilty when I'm not acting "responsibly".

Next weekend I think is going to be different. My hubby has a team building with his department and I can't come along. It will be the first time we will be apart since he came back from Germany last March.

I get to be a single wifey again.
